The goal of “Smart Parking” is to make parking less painful, more convenient and more efficient through the use of information technology. For those who drive in and around major metropolitan areas, the challenge of finding a place to park is steadily increasing. The experience is often frustrating, time-consuming and more expensive than most drivers realize.

SmartParking.org has been established to promote awareness of the issues that relate to parking and it’s impact on communities. These issues include; sustainable development, land use, air quality, CO2 efficiency, clean tech, green tech, fuel use reduction, revenue generation, congestion mitigation and urban planning.
